The beginning of the first video works by Julio Soto, 'The Possibility Of Utopia', looks like taken from Peter Cook's radical project 'Plug City' or from another artwork shown at the famous Archigram exhibition in 1973. It's a very imaginative meta-narration that takes place in the unknown environments of Akademgorodok, the city of science in Siberia, and in New Jersey, U.S.A. in 2013, during a hypothetical flood. The technical skills and combinatorial mastery of Soto are excellent in building progressive slips in the scenes starting from fairly common base materials. 'Invisible Cities' is even richer in apocalyptic urban visions, a synthetic testimony of uninhabited spaces where nature is taking back what originally belonged to it. The audio part is made by the duo Pretty Boy Crossover (Jason Sweeney and Cailan Burns), who shakes melancholic and melodious digital frequencies, guitars and post-rock movements crossed by metropolitan atmospheres made with hybrid grafts and field recordings. The label C0C0S0L1DC1T1 isn't new to audio-video products, in a format, the DVD, that is becoming the standard in experimental electronica distribution.
