After a series of topics either trying to predict the future or to be omni-comprehensive, the 2007 edition of Ars Electronica focuses on something that everybody should feel as a urge, while its title is 'Goodbye Privacy'. The same name conference is curated by Armin Medosh, a veteran of online art and activism, and Ina Zwerger gathers activists, theorist as well as people outside of the usual circles for a potentially promising debate. The usual roster of events is then taking place: the Prix exhibition at the OK Centrum, the visual music evening concert (among the guests: @c + Lia and Fuckhead, the animation festival and the bunch of new installations at the Ars Electronica Center. The performances of choice are Spektr and Feed, and various unavoidable Second Life event are scheduled, too. The Campus, that usually is the place that showcases the activity of a specific school/university will instead host many different research entities from USA and Europe, in a way networked through their work.
