This is an experiment, where I count one byte up - from 00000000 to 11111111. I have assigned a sound to each bit and when it switches from 0 to 1, the sound is played.

Seminar with Franco Berardi (aka Bifo) in September at 16Beaver (NY). "Connective Mutations: Autonomy & Subjectivation in the Coming Century". Cyberspace may be infinite, but cybertime is not.

The instrument consists of 34 pads on the floor which have been painted with the conductive ink and connected to a computer via some clever custom electronics. The performers stand on the pads, and touch hands to complete a circuit and trigger a sound. Different combinations of pads trigger the different sounds needed to play the track.
