The meanings of media communication and the relations between them are one of the most important aspects of contemporary world. The interpretation of present times can't ignore the relation between content domain, environment simulation and interface, which influence our mental and perceptive evolution. This text explores the shifty territory of media studies. Supported by dozens of examples, it succeeds in developing a conscience for using media actively instead of passively consuming them. The importance of the historical perspective contained makes possible to analyze many often used mechanisms and the rules underlying them, which makes possible to get the necessary tools to effectively decode the information cloud surrounding them. Between truth and delusion, understanding the passage from analogic to digital and all the studies on the aesthetic aspects and the social nature of media is fundamental to understand the rules and mechanisms of contemporary communication and to avoid repeating past errors.
