Wrapped in the very elegant and suggestive apocalyptic artwork by Arnold Steiner of AS1 Projects, here is the new album by Aaron Funk, better known as Venetian Snares, dissonating protagonist of the breakcore-drill-n-bass electronica typical of Planet Mu. Always itchy elaborations, even though they're more subdued compared to the extremism of his previous productions, to condense the only really fundamental construct, with the alternation, typical of those latitudes, between ambient and adrenaline. Industrial breaks, samplitude, abuse of foreign frequencies, hyperbole and sudden narcolepsy: this is his catalogue. Take it or leave it. Aurelio Cianciotta
