Kira Kira - Skotta

Kira Kira, Skotta, Smekkleysa, Audioglobe, kirakira_skotta.jpg CD - Smekkleysa / Audioglobe
This Bjork (that is, Kristin Bjork Kristiansdottir), too, comes from Iceland. After experiences in the Kitchen Motors collective and in Big and BrĂștal, she's now going solo with the Kira Kira moniker. Her electronica is very delicate, diluted, cut over sensitive clicks and glitches and equally fragile vocal parts. Abstract sounds, gentle yet disquieting, which evoke digital and oblique toy-melodies and ingenuous finely built elaborations. This is definitely an interesting debut, full of vivid abstractions that reverberate abstrusely in a way reminiscent of pop tensions.
