CD - Ghostly International
A refined collection of remixes of the latest productions by Lusine (aka Jeff McIlwain), a producer from Seattle with a penchant for conjugating complex melodic iterations and glitch-house sounds. Balancing between the dancefloor and rarefied tracks, strongly cinematographic images permeate its atmospheres, injecting a little dose of his original electronic eclecticism in this clubbing-oriented release. Cepia's remix is particularly striking for the fascinating polyrhythmic quality of its textures. Apparat, too, is one step (and more) above the mechanic minimalist transpositions.
