CD - Hefty
Delicate experiments by Hirohito Ihara, the Japanese composer who founded Radicalfashion (maybe inspired by the exhibition bearing the same name, curated by David Toop at the Victoria and Albert Museum in 2001), dilated in its piano chords and electro-acoustic structures, thanks also to traditional elements supported by measured electronic insertions. Modulating the ambient airs, full of nostalgia and sensitivity, among iterated sequences and overlaid textures, the melodies are oblique and the toy-sounds are fuzzy and dream-like, reflecting an approach which is abstract, but still present in the improvisation, which melts together several techniques and stylistic influences (the same of jazz and classical music).
