CD - Staalplaat
Sound layers, underlined by an equivalent sum of transparent surfaces in the beautiful artwork by CS, in this limited edition (as it's traditional for the 'Mort Aux Vaches' series) made even more exclusive by the elegant plastic package. It's a release, this one by Andrey Kiritchenko, an Ukrainian electronic musician, bringing together traditional sensitivities and his guitar skills (honed in a rock band), although in this album (made of a single 42-minutes-long track) the chords are played over minimal beats and are well inserted into a succession of drones and glitches. It's a synthetic manifestation of those electro-acoustic approaches which were once mostly improvisational and are now multiplied by the greater possibilities offered by digital post-production, which is particularly distilled in the alluring atmospheric combinations rich in microsounds and hypnotic loops.
