Those new urban sounds, which are more and more imbued with digital moods, come together perfectly in this new album by the electronica producer AGF and mc Quio. Their music encompasses many genres, from underground to mainstream, between hip hop, dub and garage. They're multifaceted and complex metropolitan rhythms, and aren't immunized from the strange creatures of pop, in their particularly contemporary mix of soul and club culture. The result is interesting and enjoyable, thanks also to the contributions of Nicolette (Massive Attack), of their other vocalist Lise and of the Brazilian rapper Edu K (very skilled and fun in an improvised Portuguese lesson he sings along to, creating lollypop cadences in a really oblique mix).
