Heartwarming drones, melancholic suspensions and glitch'n'cuts sequences, rarefied and melodic threads, infused with iterated atmospheres in synthetic chords and radio frequencies obtained by modulating short waves, using a piano, a Hammond organ and a resophonic guitar. Ielasi seems to leave his usual improvisational preferences behind to embrace a more linear approach, built among carefully thought-out abstractions and superimpositions. It's an introspective and refined album that the artist, who is also the founder of Fringes Recordings, chose to release for 12K, an equally experimental and high-profile label based in New York and headed by Taylor Deupree.
