CD - Graphorrhea
Different electronic experiences converging into a single 'ensemble', a project wanted by Andrey Kiritchenko, Jeff Surak and Jonas Lindgren (then substituted by Dmytro Fedorenko and Tobias Åström), all of them very skilful electronic experimenters as well as able to remanipulate each other’s sounds in a creative process of continuous permutations, between human and machinic agents, software, instruments, field recording and feedback. A structured audio writing which is deeply inspired by sharing modalities, in this case performed by Dmytro Fedorenko (Kotra) himself, who has been called to reassemble the materials prepared by the others cited in a pulsing 'ensemble' of most sensitive sonorities, a sub-cultural expression of 'glitched', synthetic forms, dissonances and moments of an alien melody. Thirteen tracks in less than forty minutes, individually imperceptible in the fractured continuum of audio emergencies: hisses, leaps, interruptions, hums and buzzes of different types, an assortment of clicks, cuts, cacophonies and slanting elaborations, resulting from a maniacal editing which is made even more tangled during the performances by the live-videos simultaneously operated by Jeff Surak’s studio in Washington.
